November 25, 2017 - Some of the features described here are available to some customers already and will be rolled out to all customers in the coming weeks.  We will inform customers by email when their accounts have been updated.

Process admins, project admins, and task admins can assign tasks to Midaxo users or Contacts.  Only process admins can create new user accounts when assigning tasks.

You can assign tasks to anyone that has a Midaxo account in the process where your project is hosted.  If you wish to assign the task to someone who doesn't yet have a Midaxo account in the process where your project is hosted, contact your process admin.  Alternatively, you can assign tasks to placeholder Contacts.

  1. In the Task view, click the “Assign Responsible” link under the task title.

  2. On the next menu you will be able to assign members responsible for the task. It will list all the Project Members by default. If you want to add someone from outside the project, click the Other Users tab.

  3. Check the boxes of the users you want to assign this task to. Then click “Save” to confirm.

If you add a user from outside of the project, the system will ask you to grant access. Check the box next to his or her name and click “Grant Access”.

You can also add a completely new user by typing his/her name into the search box. This will give you the option of adding them into Midaxo as a user or using a Contact placeholder.

Inherited responsibility

When you assign a user to a task, that user will automatically inherent the responsibility of the sub-tasks if no other users have been assigned. It is important to know, that it is the overall responsibility of the project admin to make sure each task is delegated out to team members.

 * project members who have Admin permissions on tasks can assign these tasks to other project members.
